Civil Service Commission (CSC) Chairperson Karlo Nograles on Thursday challenged the 28 individuals and groups feted during the Awards Rites for the 2024 Outstanding Government Workers at Malacañang on Sept. 18 to continue inspiring other state employees to improve government service.

“Palawigin pa ninyo ang inyong mabuting gawain at impluwensiya, at ibahagi ang inyong mga karanasan sa pagpapatupad ng mga programa at proyekto (Widen the scope of your good work and influence, and share your experiences with others on the implementation of programs and projects),” Nograles said in a press statement.

He also urged them to maintain a standard that would continue to improve government service, which would in turn help in attaining a prosperous, and peaceful way of life for all.

Our aim is the continuous development and improvement of our service. Let’s do this with dedication and patriotism, not only to double or triple the number of awardees in the coming years, but also for us to attain our aspiration of a strong, prosperous and peaceful life for all),” he said.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the awarding ceremony for three different awards on Thursday — the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award, Outstanding Public Officials and Employees (Dangal ng Bayan) Award, and the CSC Pagasa Award.

Six persons and groups were conferred the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award; while there were 10 recipients of the Dangal ng Bayan Award; and eight individuals and one group got the Pagasa Award.

In his message, Nograles lauded the impact that past awardees have had in ensuring excellence in government service.

Because of them, more people have expressed satisfaction over the innovative ways that civil servants serve the Filipino people – which include faster and more convenient program implementation; better access to social, livelihood and business assistance; initiatives that promote new technologies in agriculture, and many others),” Nograles said.
